It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Ieuan Jones.

Ieuan joined Marlow Rugby Club in 1968 after moving to the area from his home town of Llanelli.
Ieuan was a kind and modest man and an extremely talented rugby player. He was a full back / outside half who had played for Llanelli, Swansea and West Wales; and had toured South Africa in 1956 with the Welsh Secondary Schools squad.
One of the highlights of his career at Llanelli was to play at full-back against the touring New Zealand team in December 1963.
Ieuan played with distinction for Marlow’s 1st XV for five or six seasons and was awarded County Playing Honours in 1971. Ieuan later became our Club’s Treasurer and was awarded an Honorary Life Membership of our Club.
Our thoughts are with Joyce, Richard and Helen and Ieuan’s family at this difficult time.

Funeral Arrangements:-
• Tuesday 18th June at 3 p.m. at Llanelli Crematorium
• Then on to the Carwyn James Suite at Parc y Scarlets.
