This weekend marks the incredible achievement for one of the fan favourites at Riverwoods, Phil Hellmuth, as he reaches 100 caps for Marlow RUFC 1XV.

Phil or Pip as he is more affectionately known, is a product of Marlow’s fantastic Mini’s and Youth system, playing all the way through the age groups, in the famous 934 Squad, usually led by his legendary father Paul, who was a real driving force in Phil’s rugby journey and we are sure would be very proud of this achievement this weekend.

Phil started his senior rugby early on, getting his early caps before disappearing off travelling for a number of years! When he returned it was business as usual and he quickly found his rightful place back in amongst the 1XV squad!

Phil captained the squad in their first season in getting promoted to Level 6 in 2023/24 and was a figure head, putting in Man of the Match performances time and time again, leading from the front with his darting runs at 9 and his huge tackles that any back row would envy at the time!

Phil now has moved into the forwards, and he has stamped his mark down already, a tireless workhorse and never afraid to front up!

Marlow Rugby Club is very proud of Phil and are hugely thankful and grateful for his commitment and dedication to the club for so many years!

Enjoy your day, here’s to a big FIVE POINTS to top it off!
